Amigos del Tango is a registered and non-profit association that aims to increase the hobby of Argentine tango by organizing various events and informing about events related to Argentine tango.

 

Activities

The association organizes milongas, i.e. dance nights, where Argentine tango, waltz and milonga are danced to the accompaniment of recorded or live music. At Amigos del Tango's tango weekends and camps, you have the opportunity to learn Argentine tango under the guidance of teachers. from Finland and abroad. The biggest annual event is the urban international Argentine tango festival Tango Frostbite organized in February in Helsinki, which brings together Argentine tango enthusiasts to dance and learn tango. Our other major annual events are Summer Tango Camp and Helsinki Milonga Weekend.

The association has rented and renovated the El Ático dance studio and practice facilities for its members, at Kumpulantie 1 (8th floor), Helsinki. There are weekly milongas every Thursday and Sunday, with some exceptions like summer break and some holidays. Becoming a member

To become a member of AdT, fill out the online form. As a member of the association, you will receive a membership letter in your email a few times a year. The member's letter contains information about usual larger events as well as contact, training and course information, etc. As a member, you also have the opportunity to participate in the teaching organized by Amigos del Tango. Of course, you can also come to the beginner courses without being a member. The association's membership fee is 25 euros per calendar year.
